Previously known as Shire Sounds Radio, Northants 1 is Northamptonshire’s very own Hit Music Station.
Crucially, Northants 1 is a local radio station for Northamptonshire, made right here in Northamptonshire.

The Northants 1 playlist consists of music you can sing along to. Some of our artists include: Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sigala, George Ezra, Ellie Goulding & many more.
We focus on 16-40 year olds, but all ages are welcome.

Listening to Northants 1
Questions about listening to Shire Sounds Radio.
You can listen to Northants 1 on your iOS or Android phone or tablet.
Simply search in your app store for “Radio Box”. Once Downloaded, simply search and add “Northants 1” to your favourites for a great on the go listening experience.
You can ask your Alexa or Google Home to play Northants 1 using the following commands:
“Hey Google, Talk To Shire Sounds Radio”
“Alexa, Enable Northants 1” and then onwards “Alexa, Play Northants 1”
You may have to enable our skill first on Alexa devices.
