Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all competitions run by Northants 1, which is owned and operated by NN Local Media & Training CIC, trading as NN Media. They apply to competitions run on air on Northants 1, on northants1.co.uk and on any other Northants 1 platform.

1. The promoter

The promoter is NN Local Media & Training CIC, trading as NN Media, the owner and operator of Northants 1. It is a community interest company registered in England and Wales under company number 15618473, with its registered office at 17 Station Road, Kettering, England, NN15 7HH.

Where a competition is run with a sponsor or prize supplier, their name is shown on the competition page.

2. Who can enter

Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. Where a competition is limited to a particular area, such as Northamptonshire or Kettering & Corby, that area is stated on the competition page.

The following people may not enter:

• employees, volunteers and presenters of NN Media and Northants 1

• employees of any company involved in the competition

• the immediate families of anyone listed above.

3. How to enter

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. Enter using the form on the competition page on northants1.co.uk before the closing time shown there. One entry per person per competition.

Entries that are incomplete, or that we reasonably believe to be automated or duplicated, may be rejected.

4. Closing date

The closing time is shown on the competition page. Entries received after that time are not counted.

If a competition has to be extended or shortened for reasons outside our control, we will say so on the competition page.

5. The prize

The prize is described on the competition page. There is no cash alternative, and the prize is not transferable unless we say otherwise.

If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Prizes are provided subject to any conditions set by the supplier. Where these apply, they are stated with the prize.

6. How the winner is chosen

Winners are drawn at random from all eligible entries after the closing time.

We may draw a replacement if a drawn entrant does not meet the conditions of entry, or if we cannot contact them within 14 days.

7. Telling the winner

We will contact the winner using the details given at entry, normally within 7 days of the draw. Winners may be asked to confirm their eligibility and identity before a prize is given out.

8. Publishing the result

We will publish the first name and last initial of each winner on the competition page. The name and county of major prize winners is available on request by writing to us at the registered office address above.

An entrant may ask us not to publish their details, or to reduce what is published, by contacting us before the draw. We will comply where we reasonably can.

9. Your information

The details given at entry are used to run the competition and to contact the winner. They are used for nothing else unless you give separate consent.

Entries are kept for 90 days after the competition closes and are then deleted.

Where a prize is supplied by a third party, we will share only the winner's details that the supplier needs to deliver the prize.

10. Broadcast competitions

Where a competition is also run on air on Northants 1, the rules stated on air and the rules on this page are intended to be the same. If they differ, this page applies, and we will correct the difference as soon as we become aware of it.

11. General

We may cancel or amend a competition where it is necessary to do so. Any change will be published on the competition page.

Our decision on any matter relating to a competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
