An Ise Lodge Fundraiser has raised over £700 for the Ise Valley Scout Group.
Residents of the Ise Lodge Estate took part in a garage sale fundraiser on Sunday 6 September.
The event was organised by Cllr Ben Williams and Cllr Ben Jameson, as a way to celebrate the community whilst raising money for a local cause.
Cllr Ben Williams said:
"It was amazing seeing so many families get involved, talking to neighbours, elderly people talking to residents, in some cases the first in over a week, children learning to read maps of their area and people having fun bargain hunting".
The event became an opportunity for people to come together and connect, which was thoroughly enjoyed by locals. Ise Lodge resident, Michele Stock said:
"It certainly was a fantastic day. We have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was great to see so many people out and about and the community spirit was great. We certainly had some laughs'.
Organisers and the local community aimed for the event to replicate the success from the 2025 fundraiser, which has proved to be just as remarkable.
"It looked to be the best yet. It felt like a real community"

Following Sundays positive outcome, plans have already been arranged for another garage sale fundraiser in 2027.
The event is set to be on 5 September 2027. More details can be expected closer to the time.
