An Ise Lodge fundraiser is returning for a second year, this time to raise money for the Ise Valley Scout Group.
On 6 September, a garage sale fundraiser will be taking place across the Ise Lodge Estate in Kettering, 10am-3pm.
Residents on the Estate will be hosting a back to school clear out, where people are encouraged to walk around the stalls and hunt for bargains.
The fundraiser has been arranged by Cllr Ben Williams, who was determined to bring back fundraisers after being elected in May 2025. He said:
"A lot of people told me that Ise Lodge used to have fundraisers, so I thought bringing them back after being elected would be great. The first time I organised a fundraiser, I was expecting to maybe get around 20 or 30 stalls, I was not expecting it to be as big as of a success that it was".
To take part in the fundraiser, each household has to pay £6 to host a stall. So far, over £500 has been raised for the Ise Valley Scout Group by 92 stall holders.
The Scout group was chosen after a poll was conducted on Social Media, where residents from Ise Lodge could choose which cause they wanted to raise money for.
"The Scout Group do a lot of good things for kids in the area, and at a time where kids need more and more things to do, we thought they were a very positive group to put money towards".
Said Cllr Ben Williams.
On the day of the event, a map showing the locations of stalls can be picked up from The Hut Cafe on St Johns Road or from Budgens on St Stephens Road.
