Staff from Allison Homes Central, who are currently bringing the new Priors Hall Park development to Corby, took on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge to support The Lighthouse Charity. The 11-strong team successfully summited Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, completing more than 62,000 steps in approximately 24 to 26 hours of intense physical and mental endurance.
Their immense determination and resilience saw them completely smash their original fundraising target of £5,000, ultimately raising an impressive £9,089.
“We chose to take on the Three Peaks Challenge because mental health is something we’re passionate about, and we wanted to raise awareness of a subject that still isn’t spoken about enough,”
said Paul Vasey, Senior Site Manager at Allison Homes Central.
“The climbs were physically demanding, while the long journeys between the peaks were tougher than we anticipated. Knowing we were raising money for an incredible charity made it all worthwhile, and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who sponsored us.”
The funds will directly support the Lighthouse Charity, which provides free, confidential emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families. As a long-standing supporter of the charity, Allison Homes has previously welcomed representatives to its developments to deliver sessions focused on looking out for colleagues. The developer is currently preparing to launch Priors Hall Park in Corby, bringing a mix of stylish 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom homes to North Northamptonshire.
