The tickets have been distributed to students across eight primary schools and two secondary schools, as well as to Home-Start families in the town.
The initiative provided youngsters with the chance to take part in a virtual reality experience, dance at a silent disco hosted at local community centres with support from the Linwood Community Co-operative, and catch a screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the Savoy Cinema.
Alongside the ticketed events, the town council has also teamed up with Willow Place to bring free family entertainment straight to the town centre. Residents and shoppers have been making the most of a temporary sandpit complete with deckchairs, alongside traditional Punch and Judy shows in Queens Square.
“We are delighted to help bring free and low-cost summer holiday activities to young people and families across Corby,”
said Cllr Callum Reilly, Chair of Corby Town Council’s Culture, Events and Engagement Committee.
“These opportunities are designed to support families during the school holidays, creating fun and memorable experiences for the children.”
