Northants 1 wants to stay close to what’s happening in communities right across North Northamptonshire, and you can help us do that. We’re looking for Community Contributors who can send us photos, short videos, local information and story tip-offs from the places where they live, work and spend their time. You might already find yourself at local events, markets, sports fixtures, shows, festivals and community activities, or perhaps you’re simply someone who is regularly out and about and notices what’s happening around your town or village. There are no shifts and no regular commitment. If you’re somewhere interesting, spot something happening locally, take a great photo or think there’s something Northants 1 should know about, you can send it our way for possible use on air, our website and social media. You don’t need any experience in radio, journalism or photography, and you certainly don’t need professional equipment. A useful photo or short video taken on your phone can be exactly what we need. We’ll provide some simple guidance to help you get started, including the kinds of things we’re interested in, what information is useful to send alongside your contributions and how to contribute safely and responsibly. You don’t have to cover everything happening around you, and there’s never any obligation to go somewhere specifically for Northants 1. It’s simply an easy way to help us keep closer to communities across the area and share more of what’s happening locally.
