Volunteer

Northants 1 is looking for volunteer presenters to join our on-air team. As a presenter, you’ll help create entertaining, relevant and locally connected radio for listeners across North Northamptonshire. Depending on the programme, that could include preparing links and features, researching local talking points, interviewing guests, working with music and station content, and presenting live or pre-recorded shows. We’re looking for people with personality, curiosity and a genuine interest in connecting with a local audience. Previous radio experience is useful, but it isn’t essential. We can support the right people in developing their presentation, production and technical skills. Presenters are expected to prepare properly for their programmes and contribute to the wider sound and values of Northants 1, rather than simply turning up to play music. There may also be opportunities to get involved with outside broadcasts, local events, video and social content.
