Made With Many are funded by Arts Council England to encourage more people in Corby and Wellingborough to become involved in any form of arts and creativity that you can think of, and so far their activities have taken the form of craft workshops, arts festivals, theatre productions, exhibitions, heritage projects, light processions and lots more. Now, as part of their most recent listening campaign, they want to hear your ideas about the creative activities and events you want to see happening in your town!
The arts programme, which has been running since 2014 is currently asking the local community to submit their ideas through a Creative Communities Survey, so get your thinking caps on. Do you have an idea for a creative project that you would like to see happening in your community? Or have you had an amazing cultural experience elsewhere that you would like to see happening locally? The Creative Communities Survey can be filled in HERE and anyone who completes it before 30th September will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £20 Love2Shop vouchers!
In the early stages of the Made With Many programme, when it was getting established in Corby, local residents had the chance to take part in free trips to fire up the imagination, and now this opportunity is being offered to residents of Wellingborough.
Anyone living within the old borough boundary of Wellingborough can reserve a free place on a coach trip to Derby Festé, to experience the festival events happening in the city centre, including spectacular outdoor circus and dance, dazzling acrobatics, and the return of its iconic procession. You can even get involved in the procession by wearing the theme of blue and white!
The coach will depart from Jackson’s Lane car park in Wellingborough at 12 noon on Saturday 23rd September and will arrive back late the same day, to allow festival-goers a chance to take part in the festival finale. Whilst the trip is suitable for all ages, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
There are more exciting trips being planned for the Wellingborough community in Spring 2024, which will be announced by Made With Many in coming months.
