Residents in Kettering will have the opportunity to sign up to a new 5k race
in the town next year, the freshly formed event is being organised by the
Kettering Town council, and Run Through.
Starting and finishing at Wickstead Park,
the distance is a shorter option to the half marathon,
the event itself is scheduled for March 2025, with hundreds already signing
on the dotted line.
Mayor of Kettering Cllr Craig Skinner said, ” We are really looking forward to
bringing a running event to Kettering, It’s something the town has been
missing and we spotted the opportunity to bring a big event here”.
He continued,
” The two distances on offer means that this event is open to everyone,
it doesn’t matter if your not good at running, come along and have a go”.
The races take place on Sunday 9th March 2025,
with slots now available available to book
on the Run Through Website.
