The countdown is finally over! The curtain rises today on Cinderella at the Lighthouse Theatre, and we are catching up with the woman responsible for making all the magic happen. This Friday (12th December) marks the opening night of the Lighthouse Theatre Pantomime, and we are thrilled to welcome a true local hero back to the stage.
Jessie Waterfield, born and raised right here in Kettering, returns to the Lighthouse for her second year running. After terrifying audiences last year as the villainous Queen of the Wolves in Beauty and the Beast, she has swapped her claws for a wand to play the sparkling Fairy Godmother.
As the Official Media Partner, NN Media was there at the launch day to get the scoop. Presenter John sat down with Jessie to discuss what it means to perform in her hometown at Christmas.
“My first memory of panto was going on a school trip to see Peter Pan… it felt like the official start of Christmas,” Jessie told us.
“I’m so excited to be back in Kettering after having an absolute ball last year. It’s a proper festive treat for all ages!”
