Northampton Town centre will have a freshly designed Market square for shoppers to look forward
too as it prepares to open partially on Friday (20th September),
Work on the area has been going on since the early part of 2023, but refurbishment
is in it’s final stages.
The £12.4 million investment will see a number of traders welcomed including bicycle repair,
butchers, creative space, fresh fruit and vegetables, nail salon, and takeaway food, to name
a few.
The “revolutionised project” also includes new paving, water features, seating, and 18 fixed stalls,
as part of a major town-centre improvement scheme, aiming at bringing further shoppers
and businesses.
The full reopening of the Market Square is expected on October 19th and 20th.
