Meet Buttons: The Legend Returns! We Chat with Rollo Ahead of His Big Kettering Comeback

(SPONSORED POST: Lighthouse Theatre, KD Theatre & Ghostlight Creative Media)

He’s a member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, an inductee of the Pantomime Hall of Fame, and this Christmas, he is finally coming home to Kettering.

After a long break from the local stage, the one and only Sean ‘Rollo’ Rollason is back at the Lighthouse Theatre for this year’s production of Cinderella.

As the Official Media Partner for the third year running, NN Media (Northants 1, Northants 2, and Northants Rewind) was there at the official launch day to welcome him back. Presenter Charlie Stone sat down with the comedy legend to discuss his return, his chaotic plans for the character of Buttons, and what it means to perform for a home crowd again.

“It’s a Tight-Knit Community”

Rollo is renowned for his quick wit and classic variety style. In our exclusive chat, he shared his excitement about rejoining the Lighthouse family and working alongside a cast that mixes fresh West End talent with local favorites.

“My memory of doing panto… is the camaraderie between the stage crew, lighting, sound and cast all working together to make the show,”

Rollo told us.

He also promised plenty of “hilarious and hairy surprises” for the role of Buttons, Cinderella’s faithful (and funny) best friend.

About The Production

Rollo joins a fantastic cast, including Maisie Asbury as Cinderella and local star Jessie Waterfield as the Fairy Godmother.

The show runs from Friday 12th December until Wednesday 31st December 2025 and promises to be the most enchanting pantomime of them all.
