Every fairytale needs a hero, and this year, the Lighthouse Theatre has found a Prince with plenty of charm (and a great singing voice to match!).
As Cinderella takes over the stage in Kettering this month, we are continuing our exclusive backstage coverage by introducing you to the man hoping to sweep our heroine off her feet.
Daniel Breakwell steps into the royal boots of Prince Charming. But as we found out at the launch, this isn’t just about sitting on a throne, it involves high-energy dance numbers, some serious power ballads, and a quest for true love.
As the Official Media Partner, NN Media went behind the scenes to find out what it takes to be a Panto Prince. Our own Andrew Haslam caught up with Daniel to discuss the role and what he is most excited about for this year’s production.
“I’m looking forward to bringing a little bit of excitement and cheekiness to the show,” Daniel told Andrew.
While the Prince is often seen as just the romantic lead, Daniel explained that this script gives him plenty to sink his teeth into. He revealed that he particularly likes the “journey the prince character goes on” throughout the story, from his initial search for love to the chaos of the shoe fitting!
